THE REST OF MY RADIO SHOW COLLECTION

After Phil completed his DANCE INTO THE LIGHT TOUR, he rejoined his Big Band mates and started back into the fray. This would be the tour that generated the official compact disc release A HOT NIGHT IN PARIS, and while the liner notes from that recording do not specifically list which shows the songs were taken from, the band did play three shows in France – one in Nice at the Nice Jazz Festival on 13 July 1998, one in Lyon at The Fourviere on 20 July 1998 and one at The Grand Rex Theatre in Paris on 21 July 1998. Given the title of the official release, it’s s safe bet that most of the tracks were recorded at the 21 July show.
As with the NO JACKET REQUIRED TOUR listed previously, I don’t know of any pre-FM shows from this tour, and Simon’s Movement site does not list any. In fact, there is only one FM broadcast listed there, recorded at Symphony Hall, Birmingham, United Kingdom on 24 July 1998. There aren’t even any other soundboard recordings from this tour in circulation as listed on Simon’s site.
Other than that show, and the official release, there appear to be no other “non-audience” recordings from this tour, but part of me believes that there must be some pre-FM show(s) out there somewhere.
If you have any information regarding pre-FM shows from this tour, please Contact Me.
